Just wanted to let everyone know that CGSociety Chicago chapter had their first meeting yesterday.  This is the first ever CGSociety chapter in the U.S.  The only other one is in austrailia.   If you don't know what CG Society is it's  a group focused on digital artists (not graphics programming).  The CGS Chicago Chapter started on July 17, 2009.   They are a non-profit organization.  They will be having another meeting in September.  So if you live in the Chicagoland area keep an eye out.  You never know who you're going to meet.
