When I first saw this trailer, I knew I remembered the kid with his monster costume.  Then I remembered this book when I was in elementary.  This is a live action adaptation of the book by Maurice Sendak called "Where The Wild Things Are."  This trailer was very refreshing.  None of that epic stuff that seems to be the norm for every freakin fantasy/kid movie.  What's up with that.  This one is just plain fun.  Just like the book.

I hope the movie has a soundtrack like what they used for the trailer.  It different and gives it a little of that indie feel to it.  A little known fact.  Disney had a test with this story, it was to be the first to use 3D background on 2D characters.  It was done fairly well.  John Lassater was involved.  Later, it was scrapped though.  Check it out.  It was really good for it's time ( early '80s).
