Well, not really. More like the vision of a college student. With $100,000 and RED ONE camera you end up with a 20 minute short that is as professional as the studios. The title is Turbo and centers around a teenager who wants to enter a tournament and prove to his brother that he can make money out of gaming. At the same time he has a obstacle to over come. An arrogant gamer who you just want to kick his A$$.
Anyways the production value I must say is very good. The acting isn't bad and the special effects and quality of the film is great. They take a lot of cues from the Dragon Ball and Street Fighter. The best thing is that they did it right compared to those films having millions of dollars spend. Just one question? Where does a student get $100,ooo to make his own film? That's just crazy. The short was directed by Jarrett Conaway. Good job to those invovled. You can find more info on the short at www.turbothemovie.com.
