The Transformers crew has now closed off half of Chicago’s North Michigan Avenue. It seems like every tourist and local shoppers were out tonight just watching the crew set up the street for the weekend shoot. Crashed cars are being set up throughout the street. All the movie props were being stored at the vacant lot south of the AMC River East theaters. It’s pretty unbelievable that Michigan Avenue is closed for the weekend as it’s the most busiest/crowded street in all of downtown. The movie studios must have paid millions to close down the retail stores.
