I'm finding how a lot of people are being creative with video. With the popularity of DSLRs, it's increasing amazing how much good footage there are just by the ordinary man. You don't even have to be a photographer or a cinematographer. Just grab your camera and just start shoot.
Here's one great example by the user of Darwinfish105. He took a footage by himself just walking in the subway and the streets of Akihabara in Japan. Just by changing the speed of the video, great simple cuts and a very engaging soundtrack you get a really nice piece. Now you're wondering how he might have gotten to slow down the footage, from my understanding he just took the footage at 60 frames a second and then just put it to a 24 fps timeline and timed it to the soundtrack. By doing that he has considerable just slowed down the footage to 2 and half times to the original. What you get is really crisp smoothed slow motion footage. The footage was take with a Panasonic GH2 with 14-40mm kit lense.
