Well more like released in Japan. The land of the rising sun is the first to get the new Final Fantasy for the PS3. If you can read Japanese then you can import it if you can't wait for it to be released in the states or the rest of the world. The Japanese also gets their own combo package as well. They have the Final Fantasy XIII special edition PS3. It's a white PS3 with a picture of the main character Lightning. I must say it looks pretty slick.
Here's the lastest commercial for the game.
Looks like the sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum is already in full swing. Makes me wonder if it's gonna be more of the same or will the sequel branch out more to other parts of Gotham city. I guess will find out next year when the sequel should be coming out. While you're at it, check out the teaser trailer that was shown at the Video Game Music Awards.
You heard that right. They are releasing Super Street Fighter IV. Just a short time since Street Fighter IV came out at the beginning of this year. The good news is that the game will be cheaper than the original, but you'll get more characters. The characters are T. Hawk, Deejayy, and Juri (a new addition to the series). I'm sure they'll be more. Maybe they'll even have Super Street Fighter IV Special Edition next year. I just hope this isn't the start of Street Fighter games. It maybe good, but it's way too early.
Anyways, check out the intro. Instead of using the ink look, they went for a more sketch/crosshatching style. I must say it looks cooooool. Oh yeah, Ken get's his revenge on Ryu.
Well, they now have a behind the scenes look at how they made the live action short. It's always cool at what process they take to create the phenomenal piece. From taking computer generated models and sculpting them, to using animatronics to create the monsters the end result is what high budget movies are made of. Well take a gander, there's some extra stuff you didn't see the first time around.
Nah. Just more new footage for the soon to be released Final Fantasy XIII. The clip shows more characters, more story and more CG eye candy. If you think Pixar is the creme de la creme, then make sure Square Enix is right next them. If you want something that isn't cutesy, these are the guys to look for (As well as Blur Studios). If you already haven't noticed, I have a thing for this franchise. If I had money, I would buy all the figurines of the characters for every game that they made, as well as the movies.
On a sadder note, there is news that Square Enix is laying of 200-300 of it employees. As always, buying out a company (Eidos) is almost a dead giveaway that layoffs are inevitable. Still, 200-300 people are a lot. Hope those that are let go will create a new company which will likely happen.
Mario and the gang is back with an all new adventure. The game is called New Super Mario Brothers Wii. It will allow up to four players to play on the screen at the same. Keeping the 2D side scrolling alive. Now this takes me back to the days of the SNES (Super Famicom to those on the east). It looks identically to it with much higher resolution. All the tricks in the SNES version and much more are available at you disposal.
The game comes out sometime this holiday season. Like most games for the Wii, it will be a great party. I don't know if there will be online play like Little Big Planet, but if it did, that would be icing on the cake. Now for the music, will be as quirky as this?
