p_mgs_peaceYou know, there is something about this game.  Even though I'm not into war games, this is probably the only one I've ever played and finished as well.  Here comes a new title from the series created by Kojima Productions.  Take note, this is not the PS3 or the PS2,  this all running on the PSP.  Yes,  you heard that right.  This game, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, is running on Sony's little portable machine. As you can tell the by the graphics, it's really good minus the anti aliasing, but who needs that when you're playing the game on a 3.5" screen.  The cool thing about this game is it's co op.  You all play as a version of Solid Snake.  Only up to four can play though.  Take a look at this really long trailer (9 minutes).  After you watch it, it makes you really want to play.  Those advertising people sure know how to get us excited.

I'm not really an MMO player, but if I was, I would definitely play this.  This trailer is epic.  You got heroes, monsters, magic, vast environments, and an awesome soundtrack.  What I really like about the trailer is the illustration artwork.  It is just beautiful.  They also animated it slightly giving the illustration life.  It's sort of an animatic,  yet it works well because it looks so polished with the particle effects and so forth. As far as the 3D, it doesn't disappoint.  Large environment, very detailed settings and characters.  This looks to be a game that requires a PC with a lot of horsepower.   I could watch this all day.  The artwork rivals that of those done by SquareEnix or the WOW artists.

p_ps3

Well,  Today is a big day for those of you waiting for a price drop of the Sony PS3.  Sony today announced the new PS3.  It's less wide, and quite thinner than it's previous version.  What it loses though feature wise is support for other OS's.  I'm sure that is fine with most people as I have a feeling this will become more of a Blue-Ray player than anything else.  Hard drive is still upgradable.   Also, the  finish is matte on the top and glossy on the sides.  It also gets rid of the touch buttons with real buttons for the power and eject.  This one comes with 120gig space and is also quieter and less hungry with the electricity too. My only beef with this new system is the Spiderman font or the lack of.  I don't know why they changed it, but it's gone.  It doesn't look as good as the old one too.  I've been so used to the original font.  This feels like an imitation.  It's almost like turning the PS Logo from curved to being all blocky.  This is just not right.  Alright alright enough of my complaining. Your asking when can you buy this thing?  Well it will be available on September 1 for a price of $299.  Must say its not too bad.  Remember it just called PS3 not PS3 Slim.  Below are videos of the NEW PS3  and 3.00 software update.

Take at look at the new 3.o software update for the PS3 as well.  I'm really digging the new dynamic theme. It's  just so pleasing to the eye.  It looks like it'll be alot harder to create your own themes though.

Could  this be the Batman game we've been waiting for?  All points to yes.  You've got Batman looking as good as ever.  The  environments are very dark and dirty.  The gadgets are here as well.  The developers also made it what Batman is all about.  Surprise  the enemies.  Making Batman very stealthy.  Gameplay seems very similar to Metal Gear Solid minus the guns and warfare.

As far as who you'll meet up with, rest assured you won't be disappointed.  Almost all of the main villans are here and some even make a cameo.  Enjoy the trailer of the game below.  Batman Arkham Asylum will be available on August 25 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC.

You know most of the time when things get dubbed; it isn't very good.  Well the boys at IGN might have another job than just blogging and playing videogames.  They can start a business dubbing videos.  Check the video for some hilarious voices overs.  This is something I would have never thought of.

Little Big Planet is being ported over to PSP.  Check the video above.  It doesn't look that different from the PS3 version.  I wonder if this will have online play.  The PS3 version was fun as hell.  With the online play, it made it even that much better.  Now we can have LBP on the go.

Here is the original music video for the main theme song on the Little big Planet PS3 version.  Love this song.
