The 3rd trailer for Sucker Punch has just been released. Though it didn't look like they showed additional scenes in this trailer, it's still a very engaging trailer. I don't know about you, but the people cutting the trailers for this flick is a genius. Nothing, but fan service for those comic book / anime / video game fanatics. You've got samurais, girls with skimpy outfits, dragons, futuristic world, and many more. The story is probably gonna sucks. It really doesn't matter because visually it just looks gorgeous. Just take a the trailer and pause it. Each frame could be it own art. From the director of 300 and Watchmen, Zack Snyder sure knows how to make movies look good. Also, he has his own style. Think of it like Tim Burton. Burton has a look to his movies and the more you watch it, the more you notice it. I see this happening with Snyder. The question is will Snyder go for a grittier Superman movie with Superman having very defining muscles like 300 or will he go for a more realistic Superman. Who knows, but will find out in the 2012 when Superman comes back to the big screen then. In the meantime check out Sucker Punch opening in March.
Of a certain fan. Yep, this isn't real. This just people that loves E.T. and would love to see a sequel even if the studios don't want to give us one. The funny thing about this trailer is you can't quite tell if they're making fun of the original or not. You've got the kid in the original all grown up. Then you have his little sister (Drew Barrymore) all grown up, but looks like a mess. Then you have a scene where they show a picture of the little sister, but she isn't shown as a little girl. She's shown as an adult dressed up as a little girl.
The story in this sequel isn't about E.T. going home again, but the save the world from not a different kind of alien, but E.T.'s own kind. Apparently not all E.T.s are like E.T.s. They start shooting fire out of their finger. It's hilarious. Taking scenes from certain movies, they really created a pretty convincing trailer. One question, how did they get the guy who does the voice overs for the trailer?
I don't know what happened to me. I've haven't wrote on this blog in a while. So did anyone watch the trailer for the new Transformers while watching the super bowl? Well I was and I didn't even noticed that this trailer. Maybe I didn't care for the commercials because they were just not good. It seems a lot of these advertisers are just paying big bucks just the get on the spot and don't support it with some great witty commercials. Super Bowl used to be not only about the game itself, but it was also about the commercials. Many non-sports fans watched only for the commercials, but this year it just wasn't up to par.
Enough of that ramble, what I was trying to get at was the short teaser for Transformers 3. Can anybody say whoo hoo. More destruction and action. Surprised how quickly they got Chicago to look so damaged and have the autobots looking and moving great. Considering the film was just filmed last summer, kudos to the hard working artists for a great job. I'm sure the footage isn't final, but man if those the last scenes, Chicago is going to be annialated to a pulp.
Oh yeah, anyone noticed how a lot of these trailers are doing the single beat thing and timing the video with it. I don't know about you, but I believe Inception (I could be wrong) started this whole craze with trailers doing this to create some sort of mood, almost like a climax til the title is shown. It's almost like a trend. Anyways, if you haven't seen the new teaser trailer for Transformers 3 check it out below:
Creatives are coming out in full force. Ordinary people looking to make it the biz are trying to get themselves noticed. With the advent of Youtube and Vimeo, those that are unknown can propel themselves thanks to those outlets. They are not restricted to just film festivals.
This short is one of those. It's based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. April the reporter is being attacked by a bunch of guys with mask and Raphael comes to her rescue. This scene looks like it's before April became friends with the turtles. The concepts is simple, but the mood is where it's at. Taking a cue from deep gritty of Nolan's Batman and that Mortal Kombat short. Acting is subpar as the person playing April isn't very believeable when she speaks.
With rumors of a new TMNT, makes you wonder how they will take the direction of the movie. Will it be like the comic where it's dark and gritty or will it go the way of the cartoons and 90's movie. If it were me, I'd take an in between. As this will most like be geared to the kiddies (major market for toys), it's probably be more like the 90's movies.
Well, well, well, what do we have hear? After a couple of years and hearing Tom talking about a movie, we finally see a much more complete trailer. I'm not certain how much the movie has to do with Angels & Airwaves, but I do know the band is doing the soundtrack for the film. People are saying the movie is a cross between the movie "Moon" and the "Fountain". I for one wouldn't know since I haven't seen neither to make a comparison. Well, just be on the look out for it. The trailer doesn't disappoint. The movie is called "Love".
Trailer for the 3rd installment of Transformers is out. I'm actually liking the trailer for this. I think I like it since, it doesn't show the typical Michael Bay things. Explosions and Action are not present in this. Anyways check it out for yourself and judge for yourself.
