Well you film in the heart of the city what else do expect. Here are some videos of what people have caught during the filming of Transformers 3. Gotta say that Semi Truck looks freaking clean even with all those debris. I'm still surprised that they allowed people to shoot video. They also had the people just one block away from the shooting. Crazy I say. Now here are videos that people took during filming (action sequences).
Head on over to Gizmodo to view some of the cars they had.
Lots of explosions on LaSalle Street happened this past Saturday. Expect to see the same street where Batman flipped Joker's truck in Michael Bay's Transformer 3! Check out Optimus Prime's Trailer! It looked smaller in person than on the screen. I couldn't take a picture of the actual truck because it was near the crash scene. Below is also a pic of a 4x4.
It's seems all over the world film studios just can't come up with original content. In the US, you have studios doing remakes of horror flicks, superheroes, cartoons, and foreign flicks. In Japan, the usual thing is come out with a manga. Then create an anime. Then a year or two later come out with an anime movie or live action movie.
So well you guessed it, we have another manga/anime coming to life. Don't worry it won't be Westernized and it is being made fully in Japan. Following in the footsteps of Casshern, Death Note comes the live action Gantz. I've never seen the anime or manga, but supposedly it follows more with the manga. The great thing about the movie is that it looks freaking awesome. You got characters wearing suits and it doesn't look ridiculous on them like you would see on Power Rangers, Ultraman (reboot the guy it's about time), and what not. The special effects are looking mightly well too.
In a few years I believe we'll start see consistent quality of heavy influenced foreign movies that will rival even the best US blockbuster. Oh, the only bad thing about the Gantz movie is it's released date. It won't be released until 2011 in Japan and sure won't be released internationally 6-12 after that. Let's enjoy the trailer for the time being.
It's July 9th 2010 and Paramount Studios has arrived in Chicago! They've got a couple semi-trucks parked in Chicago's Loop. The trucks are guarded and are labeled "Paramount Studios - Los Angeles". Maybe they've got the AutoBot cars in each truck? The film crew has stored all the building rubble props in the old vacant lot that was previously used to store all the cop cars from the Dark Knight. They were also filming on the El Trains (Brown Line). LaSalle Street is closed and they’ll most likely film something in the wee hours of Saturday morning. As most of you know, LaSalle Street is where the Dark Knight’s truck flip occurred. Check out the photos below and keep an out on this website these coming days as we'll post more pictures.
I can't believe I've never heard of this movie. Basically take every 80's action stars minus JCVD and some 90's too and this is what you get. If you're a fan of any of these stars which include Arnold, Sylvester, Jet and Jason, then you're sure to watch this movie. You know how you have Ocean 11 or whatever that movie is called with all those top stars, you got this one to please all those action fanatics. The Expendables come out sometime in August.
That's right folks. Even though they've been in the business probably longer than anyone, Rango will be their first ever CG animated film. Yeah surprising. They're mostly famous for doing special effects for all those big budget movies. They've also done some shorts and most notably Clone Wars that was shown on Cartoon Network.
If you haven't known, ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) has been trying to do some full featured CG animation films for a couple of years now, but was never green lighted. Search the web, you'll notice that ILM has a test footage of Frankenstein. It was canned though probably due to the fact it was very realistic looking. Also, this other tid bit I never knew about. Where the Wild Things Are was supposed to be a CG film and ILM was to do it all. Fast forward today and we get Rango. From the looks of it looks really good, but alas we get another animals movie. Anyways, it looks promising from the trailer. Now Blur when are you guys making a CG film?
