p_toy_story3 It's finally out.  Though it doesn't come out for another 8 months,  the trailer does look good.  Looks like the look is the same, just more up to date.  The voice actors seem to be the same and we have the same guy doing the main song for this movie as well.  Toy Story 3 is one movie you shouldn't miss next summer. As you can tell from this trailer, the little boy has grown older and I believe has gone to college.  The toys contemplating if they will be thrown away.  You soon find out that they are placed in a kindergarden or daycare room full of little kids.   It looks like this is where their new adventure begins. Don't forget Toy Story 3 comes out next year.  If you can't wait that long, you can catch the double featurette of both Toy Story 1 and 2 in theaters. Oh, there will be bathroom break in between too.

Another spotting of Blender.  Yeah, I know, I just have a little thing for this open source 3D program.  They created this for a Dutch TV show.  The intro and outro was done totally using Blender.  It took the artists 2 months to complete it.  The 3D stuff was created by Matt Ebb, Jeremy Davidson, and Luke Sullivan. All I  can say is that each time I see some thing from artists using Blender, the quality is  better that the last.  The next thing you know, one of the blockbuster movies, was done in Blender (yeah I'm dreaming).  Check out the video below along with some cool sand art.

Well, not really.  More like the vision of a college student.  With $100,000 and RED ONE camera you end up with a 20 minute short that is as professional as the studios.  The title is Turbo and centers around a teenager who wants to enter a tournament and prove to his brother that he can make money out of gaming.  At the same time he has a obstacle to over come.  An arrogant gamer who you just want to kick his A$$. Anyways the production value I must say is very good.   The acting isn't bad and the special effects and quality of the film is great.  They take a lot of cues from the Dragon Ball and Street Fighter.  The best thing is that they did it right compared to those films having millions of dollars spend.  Just one question?  Where does a student get $100,ooo to make his own film?  That's just crazy.  The short was directed by Jarrett Conaway.  Good job to those invovled.  You can find more info on the short at www.turbothemovie.com.

p_ssfIV

You heard that right.  They are releasing Super Street Fighter IV.  Just a short time since Street Fighter IV came out at the beginning of this year.  The good news is that the game will be cheaper than the original, but you'll get more characters.  The characters are T. Hawk, Deejayy, and Juri (a new addition to the series).  I'm sure they'll be more. Maybe they'll even have Super Street Fighter IV Special Edition  next year.  I just hope this isn't the start of  Street Fighter games.  It maybe good, but it's way too early. Anyways, check out the intro.  Instead of using the ink look, they went for a more sketch/crosshatching style.  I must say it looks cooooool.   Oh yeah, Ken get's  his revenge on Ryu.

in a production pipeline for a design company in the United States, specifically in Peoria, IL.  They will be using the program for creating ADs for their clients' products which includes modeling, texturing, and lighting.  Then they will use the VRAY renderer with an Python export script. The company is MultiAD who is a marketing and service production firm in central Illinois. They create images for consumer products for over 500 companies.  This is the first I've heard of a US company strictly announcing that they are using Blender in their production pipeline.  And to full use too.  How many more companies will follow suit?  Is it finally getting the recognition it deserves? Check out the full article at Blendernation.

After trying to participate in Marvel/Aniboom's contest and seeing motion comics all over the place, I ask the people of the internet, what's your take on it.  I have my opinions, but make sure to look at my examples of motion comics.  Now, what's weird is what is the definition of  a motion comic.  That's hard to say.  Do too much and then it becomes a crappy cartoon, do too little and it's boring to watch.  Do it right, well then you'll keep watching for more.  But remember, comics where always about the story and then the images.  Here's are some examples of motion comics all ranging from different amounts of animation. Spiderwomen

Street Figher

X-Men
